Julie Trade Levitch - Founder/President

Julie has worked as a marketing/public relations/technical writing professional for more than 15 years.

Before launching Sourdough Communications, she spent five years as the Vice President of Marketing for a national wine importing company. During that time, she developed and implemented marketing/public relations strategies for eight wineries in New Zealand.

Prior to entering the wine industry, Julie spent over a decade in marketing management and technical writing creating marketing collateral, manuals, white papers, training material and much more. Julie is a graduate of San Francisco State University with degrees in technical writing and marketing.

Now, she’s thrilled to be leveraging her experience to help companies like yours achieve incredible results with smart, well-developed communications.

Though Julie comes from five generations of San Franciscans, she now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona with her husband, two boys, and two cats. When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, listening to her extensive collection of vinyl albums, and of course, hanging out with family and friends.

Another Neat Sourdough Fact

Sourdough bread became so common during the California Gold Rush that “sourdough” became a general nickname for gold prospectors. The nickname remains in “Sourdough Sam,” the mascot of the San Francisco 49ers.
